I wanted to create a body of textile pieces using eco printing & dyeing that I could develop into pieces of textile art in the near and distant future. I gathered leaves and seaweed found in the local vicinity and small rusting pieces of metal that I brought with my, wrapped these objects in pieces of natural fabric to create bundles and buried these below the tide line on Priest Cove,

As I started to accumulate pieces of fabric from the print/dye process I hung them around the room and considered use in projects

Viewing the results

I was able to use my time to produce  a body of work related to the Cape and Priest Cove. I have 3 group exhibitions coming up in March 2017, April to Aug 2017 and in Aug 2017. I will be using the pieces of textiles to create artwork to go in these exhibitions.
