The two weeks at Brisons Veor  in February was the most wonderful experience.  The solitude helped me to centre my thoughts and gave me new ideas to work on. I felt at one with nature as waves crashed against the rocks and the colours of the sea changed every minute.

The Brisons

The Brisons

The weather was very wild and at times quite scary. Days like that gave me the chance to paint movement.

I explored the area making sketches, and gathered reference photographs of the tin mining sites to work on in my studio. A week after returning home if I close my eyes I can recall the sights and sounds of Cape Cornwall with ease.  The seascapes will feature in my exhibition at Burton Agnes Hall in the East Riding of Yorkshire in July.
