The successful part of my time at Brisons Veor was the need to adapt and think and make in different ways. I usually work with ocean plastic and the shore at Cape Cornwall was plastic free! This is great but meant I had to rethink. In my initial exploration I discovered a palette of seaweed so that became my material for the week. In line with being completely out of my comfort zone I created a Seaweed Sofa installation, also available with red stripe! Through further research I extended my knowledge of the ecology of the kelp beds and its impact on the environment. I planned to keep a sketchbook also and this was great for research purposes, evenings and rainy days.
