Catherine Dodds, 16-23rd February 2019

This was an excellent opportunity to think out of the box. I absorbed a lot of information and am still unpacking it all. I am now trying to develop a glaze the exact green you get as a bloom on a Hepworth bronze, the translucent green of a wave as it curls over. I learned a lot about lichens, and the tin and copper mining industry. I’m doing a series of rock and lichen textured tiles, having taken some impressions around the Cape. And I’m throwing loads of chimneys.

There is an exhibition like open studios, in Wivenhoe,  coming up 18th and 19th May
I’m going to be showing all my Brisons Veor work.
