I had planned to do lots of sketching outdoors. The weather was so windy this was not possible, only able to do a small amount of sketchbook work. But the images of huge waves & powerful seas stayed with me & I was able to paint images from memory when I got home. I am primarily a textile artist which means the textile part of the residency will take some time to come to fruition. I am taking part in an exhibition next spring called ‘Travellers Tales’ at Bristol Guild Gallery, Park Street, Bristol and I plan to make a couple of ‘wave’ pieces for this.
March 2015: Update, the finished textile work based on the last visit to Cape Cornwall.
