My initial plan was to paint the whole coastline – but this was far too ambitious and overwhelming!
Instead of looking across the sea and land, I looked down into the rock pools and became fascinated by the shapes and colours of the rocks and seaweed left by the outgoing tides. I found inks seemed to produce a luminosity that I hoped to achieve in painting reflections of the water and wet stones. I hope to use the sketches I made, I am planning a series of prints. http://sarahwarleycummings.com
